IELTS Workshop

This is a 15 hour intensive introduction to IELTS. The aim of the course is to teach students the fundamentals of the exam by focusing on each of the four skills it tests. Students will also be provided with a take-away IELTS Handbook that will allow them to study independently after the course has finished. The course will run over 4 days in sessions of 3 hours & 45 minutes as follows:

• Day 1 – Introduction to IELTS and Reading
• Day 2 – Listening
• Day 3 – Writing (Task 2)
• Day 4 – Writing (Task 1) & Speaking

Students will be introduced to the different tasks and question types they will encounter and be given opportunities to use this knowledge in exam style tasks. They will also be provided with exam taking tips, key vocabulary and phrase banks, sample materials and model answer for writing.

Please note that this is not a language development course.

Level: minimum pre-intermediate level recommended
Minimum age: 16
Length: 15 hours over 4 days
Time: 4 pm - 7:45 pm

Fee: QAR 1400 inc. materials (discounted rate QAR 1200)
