TII’s new Arabic program for kids addresses two different categories of learners; Arab learners and non-Arabic speaking learners. Whether your kid is an Arab or a non-Arab one, there is a program for him/her at TII.

Arabic Program for Non-Arabic Speaking Learners:

If you are an expat living in Qatar with your family, the chances of having your kids involved in situations where Arabic is the means of communication are great. If this is case, don’t let the language barrier get in your kids’ way and consider TII’s Arabic program for kids.
Arabic is an important world language and getting your child started early will ease their way into the language and give them an advantage over their peers later on in life.
The Arabic Program for Non-Arabic Speaking Learners caters for three age groups; 5-6, 7-8, and 9-12 and your child will be placed according to his/her age and learn in a relaxed and fun-filled environment.

Since learners are complete beginners, the curriculums of the three age groups are horizontally coherent. This means that what participants in one age group are learning, mirrors what participants in other groups are learning. The activities, games, and materials are selected on the basis of the skills level and respective cognitive development. While each age group starts at the beginner level the depth and breadth of the material covered varies from one age group to another. Children will learn exclusively though games, songs, coloring, matching and puzzles and will be exposed to some reading and writing too.

Learners will be introduced to the Alphabets and the topics to be covered include greeting people, saying names and ages, counting, introducing oneself and family members. They will also be able to identify objects and pets and describe them in terms of color. Additionally, learners will learn days of the week and some action verbs. They will be able to answer simple questions about themselves and about the surroundings.

Arabic Program for Native-Arabic Speaking Learners:

Course description

This course utilizes a TV show called Siraj, an initiative by Qatar Foundation, to teach your child basic communication in Arabic as well as the alphabet. Your child will go on a fun-filled journey, every Saturday, along with each episode's special character, to look for a new letter and discover new words and friends. We will actively engage your child in a wide range of innovative activities driven from the field of audiovisual translation, such as dubbing their voices to the speaking characters, watching their words come to the big screen through subtitling, or describing 4D touchable replicas through the techniques of Audio Description, in a new course of its kind in the country. This is a course that your child will want to go to!
