Certificate in Foreign Languages - NEW!

The TII Language Center introduces a new credential, the Certificate in Foreign Languages. The certificate is awarded to students who have passed successfully three 40-hour courses or their equivalents in a certain language with an average grade of 80%, or a “B” on the letter grade system.

Why pursue a Certificate in Foreign Languages? This Certificate documents that you have pursued a structured and rigorous program of study. You can list it on your CV and show potential employers or graduate schools that you have been engaged or are still engaged in serious language study. In today’s competitive job market, language proficiency takes an increasingly prominent place on applicants’ CVs.

This certificate does not indicate the holder’s level of proficiency and cannot be used in lieu of government language exams required by certain countries for immigration or study purposes.

Courses that count toward the certificate start with Fall 2016. We offer Certificates in Arabic, (Mandarin) Chinese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
