About the Leader/Instructor
Murad Al-SoussMurad Al-Souss is the son of two deaf parents, a physical education teacher, coach, and sign language interpreter at the Audio Education Complex in Qatar. He is also a sign language broadcaster for beIN Sports channels, a collaborating interpreter with the Qatari Center for the Deaf, and a collaborating sign language instructor with the Qatar Society for the Rehabilitation of People with Special Needs.
Murad serves as the head of the Admissions and Membership Committee of the Arab Organization of Sign Language Interpreters “SELA”, and is one of its founding members. He is also a founding member of the first Jordanian Association of Sign Language Interpreters “Jusoor” and an activist for the rights of the deaf and people with disabilities.
Additionally, Murad works as an audio describer for the blind, having provided commentary during the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023. He is also a former player for Jordan’s Al-Wehdat Football Club and a former player for the Jordanian national youth, junior, and Olympic football teams.
