Course Description:
This course is for kids who desire to know how Chinese looks and sounds like in terms of its major difference from their own mother-tongue. Through online card games, nursery rhymes singing, color identification, video watching and many more children-centered, age-appropriate activities, kids will learn mainly about Chinese pronunciation. They will also learn about the basic character strokes, and how they work in writing Chinese characters. The very basic knowledge and experience obtained from this short course will arouse the kids’ interest in continuing to learn Mandarin Chinese systematically.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the course, kids will be able to:
- Learn Pinyin – a phonetic system of Mandarin Chinese
- Know the basic strokes and their writing order
