Spanish Course Descriptions for Youth and Children
Spanish Course Descriptions for Youth and Children
We would like to invite your kids to be part of our Spanish language program for children. There is a great deal of research proving that young children can learn multiple languages simultaneously and that the earlier they start the better chances they have to acquire them fluently and become close to native speakers.
Our Spanish language programme for children and teenagers is full of fun. They learn and practise Spanish through well-structured lessons and diverse activities such as songs, games, crafts, music, drama and art. All activities, vocabulary and dialogues are designed in accordance to the Spanish curriculum which follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and is developed for each age group according to the specificity of cognitive development for that age between 5 to 15 years old.
The courses are taught by highly qualified native language-teachers from Spain and Latin America who hold advanced degrees in Spanish, with broad experience in child education.
Let’s not forget that Spanish is the second most important language spoken over the world. By mastering Spanish, you can cover 21 countries and communicate in a comfortable manner with their people. Also, something not to forget, is that Spanish is the unofficial language of football. When football fans of the world descend upon Qatar in 2022 your children will be ready to be part of the World Cup. Therefore, to learn Spanish will frame them in an international context in the world, making your children part of its cultural diversity and focus of one of the most important tourist destinations: Spain!
In light of the above, your children will learn to communicate in a real context of conversation, introducing presentations, spatial orientation, directions, likes and dislikes, among others.
You mustn't miss this opportunity for your children to learn Spanish, improving their fluency and consolidating their vocabulary, incorporating multilingual competences to your kids’ knowledge and enabling them to solidify themselves in the Spanish language.
Teenagers Programme
Welcome to our Spanish programme for teenagers and middle-high school students, addressed to students aged between 13 and 15 years old. We want to prepare the coming generations of teenagers in Qatar for a future full of opportunities speaking Spanish. Once a week, on Saturdays, the TII will offer Spanish for:
Teens that want to learn Spanish from scratch and be ready for the future!
Teens that are already studying Spanish at school and want to reinforce their knowledge.
Teens that who want to be well prepared to tackle the GCSE’S or BAC exams.
The TII offers Spanish lessons for teenagers which follows rigorous academic objectives through a Spanish immersive approach. Classes are content and project based while being conducted under a ‘learning-by-doing’ methodology. Sessions are structured around a specific task, where students prepare and perform. Therefore pupils become more involved and engaged with the Spanish Language, developing an understanding and appreciation of it. Communication is crucial to our learning approach. From day one, students are encouraged to use the language actively and to interact with others.
